Hello, I'm Elaine, your Connected Families Certified Parenting Coach.
I am married to Ed, and we have one adult daughter. She is married and she and her husband have given us two terrific granddaughters who I love spending time with. We recently moved to Indianapolis from Illinois so that we could be closer to them. I taught preschool in a large school district and always considered my students “my kids” so have a few hundred children in that role. Many of my students had special education needs ranging from autism to language delays. Others were in school because they met the requirements for being “at risk of school failure” based on the state assigned criteria for entrance into the program. This included many children with “sensitive and intense” characteristics. I walked alongside parents through trials and victories. I want to continue that rewarding journey through Connected Families Parent Coaching.
I was drawn to Connected Families because of their framework incorporating Biblical principles, neuroscience research, and therapeutic research. The “perfect trifecta “in the words of one of my fellow coaches! I love learning and was amazed at how the Connected Families Training can be applied to other relationships as well. I realized how much I am still affected by perfectionism and how it affected my parenting and teaching. I am thankful God keeps showing me that he doesn’t want perfectionism. He wants me to follow Him out of love and He keeps providing the hope and grace that I need in that journey! I look forward to sharing that with you.
